General Maintenance
Our client is seeking a full-time Monday to Friday from 6:30am till 3:00pm Possible OT Saturday.
We are seeking a dependable and skilled General Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the facility and ensuring that all building systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience performing general maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the facility and equipment remain in good working condition.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general building maintenance issues.
- Assist with the installation and set-up of new equipment as needed.
- Install, assemble, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and drains.
- Perform carpentry work, including repairs and minor construction projects.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
- Perform minor HVAC maintenance and repairs and assist in maintaining heating and cooling systems.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and machinery in safe operating condition.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while performing maintenance tasks.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report equipment issues to management.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work assignments efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in general maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, mechanical repairs, HVAC systems, and general facility maintenance.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following written and verbal instructions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
