| Facility Maintenance Team Member
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facility Maintenance Team Member to perform skilled cleaning and maintenance tasks. This role involves inspecting assigned buildings or properties, completing a variety of custodial duties, and ensuring that facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The work may be performed indoors, outdoors, or both, depending on assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, window cleaning, shampooing carpets, and trash removal
- Notify supervisor of supply needs and maintain cleaning solutions in accordance with OSHA safety standards
- Assist in emergency cleaning situations and follow safety protocols when using new equipment
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with others
- Monitor and replenish sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
- Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, or scaffolding for events or meetings
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas and report discrepancies or maintenance issues to the supervisor
- Follow established security and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain positive working relationships with building staff
- Buff and burnish floors as needed
- Complete assigned work orders on schedule
- Maintain custodial equipment in good working condition
- Clean restrooms thoroughly, including floors, dispensers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and counters; remove trash and report maintenance needs
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1–2 years of previous custodial or maintenance experience required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
