Responsibilities of position
|
|
| The Engine Repair Coordinator manages repair orders and works with vendors and internal teams to ensure engine parts are repaired on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage repair orders
- Communicate with vendors to track repairs, resolve issues, and ensure timely completion
- Review, approve, and negotiate vendor quotes to control costs
- Allocate parts from inventory to reduce repair expenses
- Monitor repair timelines, follow up on delays, and update ETAs
- Generate reports and track repair order status
- Support Sales with orders tied to customer shipments and drop shipments
- Assist Receiving with issues on incoming repaired parts (QC holds)
- Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice questions
- Meet performance goals (KPIs) and support daily operations
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with good time management
- Able to work well with vendors and internal teams
Experience & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (degree preferred)
- 3+ years of aviation MRO experience
- 3–5 years of customer service or vendor coordination experience
- Experience working with engine materials (CF34 and Pratt & Whitney preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Familiar with MRO terminology and documentation (IPC, service bulletins, 8130s, traceability)
