The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator supports and continuously improves workplace safety, health, ergonomic, and environmental programs within a manufacturing environment. This role helps ensure regulatory compliance, promotes a safe work culture, and supports fair and consistent employee practices. This is a Direct Hire role with a salary range between $85k and $95k. Key Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate and deliver safety training, including new hire orientation
- Manage emergency response programs and conduct annual drills
- Oversee OSHA compliance, safety training records, and SDS systems
- Lead safety committees and maintain meeting records and safety metrics
- Conduct incident investigations and support corrective action plans
- Coordinate return-to-work programs and support injury case management
- Maintain ergonomic assessments, hazard analyses, and physical demand studies
- Ensure proper PPE selection, availability, and fit testing
- Manage safety documentation, audits, and compliance reporting
- Promote continuous improvement in safety, environmental, and ergonomic practices
- Support recycling and environmental awareness initiatives
- Order and maintain safety supplies and equipment
- Address employee safety concerns in a fair and professional manner
Required Qualifications - Degree or diploma in Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, Ergonomics, or related field
(or equivalent work experience)
- 2–3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong data analysis and reporting abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact effectively with all employees
- Flexible to work varied hours as needed to support operations
Preferred Experience - Manufacturing or automotive industry experience
- Experience with audits, safety metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with ISO or quality/environmental management systems
