Responsibilities of position




Position Title: Fleet Operation Specialist
Location: Onsite – Charlotte, NC
 Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
 Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
 Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused professional to join our DOT Compliance & Safety team. This role is primarily communication-driven, with most of the time dedicated to coordinating rental trucks and supporting drivers through phone and messaging platforms. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and delivers professional, solution-oriented service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, managing schedules and responding to inquiries.
  2. Coordinate daily communication between drivers, dispatch, and internal departments.
  3. Ensure compliance with DOT safety standards and maintain accurate documentation.
  4. Update and organize driver qualification records and compliance systems.
  5. Collaborate with vendors and team members to resolve operational issues promptly.
  6. Provide professional and courteous assistance through phone, email, and digital communication platforms.

Qualifications
  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and digital filing systems.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and customer service abilities.
  4. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  5. Willingness to learn and apply DOT regulations (training provided).
Preferred Experience
  1. Background or familiarity with transportation, logistics, or DOT compliance.
  2. Experience maintaining driver qualification files or safety documentation.

Additional Details
  1. Environment: 100% onsite, office-based (no driving required).
  2. Conversion Goal: This role is designed to transition into a permanent position.
  3. Interview Process: In-person interview required.
