Requirements of position
|
|
|

|
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics, transportation, or customer service preferred.
- Proven experience as a dispatcher, scheduler, or in a similar role (transportation, delivery, or service industry).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of local geography and transportation regulations is an asset

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Receive and schedule customer requests, work orders, or service calls.
- Dispatch drivers, vehicles, or service personnel to appropriate locations according to schedules, priorities, and customer requirements.
- Monitor the status and location of drivers or service staff using dispatch systems, GPS, or communication devices.
- Provide timely updates and instructions to drivers, technicians, or field staff.
- Communicate with customers regarding service times, delays, or updates.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, routes, work orders, and service activities.
- Handle emergency or urgent situations by adjusting schedules and resources as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors, warehouse staff, and other departments to optimize scheduling and service delivery.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints or service issues in a professional manner.
