Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $90k-$95k
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team. This role is responsible for cost analysis, inventory and labor reporting, ERP system maintenance, month-end close activities, and supporting financial reporting and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing finance experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cost accounting analysis including labor, material, and inventory costing
- Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), part numbers, and cost structures in the ERP system
- Support month-end close activities including labor variance, material variance, and inventory reporting
- Analyze and report sales, cost of sales, and profitability metrics
- Develop and maintain labor and burden rates for standard costing
- Roll and maintain standard costs and update frozen/current costs in the system
- Track prototype and engineering project costs against budgets
- Assist with financial audits and account reconciliations
- Support SOX compliance and internal controls processes
- Verify purchase order pricing and maintain customer pricing updates
- Prepare monthly management reports and provide ad hoc financial analysis
- Partner with Purchasing, Sales, Engineering, and Operations on cost and pricing initiatives
- Assist with accounts payable processing and vendor support as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering/Costing, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of finance/accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- SAP experience preferred
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory analysis, and ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
- Comfortable working flexible hours to meet business needs
