About the Role
As the Controls Engineering Supervisor, you’ll oversee a team of talented controls engineers responsible for the design, development, installation, and optimization of automated control systems. You’ll collaborate with maintenance, production, and safety teams to ensure seamless operation across all automated processes while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of controls engineers, ensuring professional growth and project success.
  • Oversee automation projects from concept to completion, including design, programming, installation, and commissioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and other automation tools.
  • Troubleshoot complex control system issues and drive long-term reliability improvements.
  • Implement safety and environmental standards in all control system operations.
  • Identify and introduce new technologies to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Prepare and present system performance updates and project reports to senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in controls or automation engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), SCADA systems, and industrial automation networks.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Proven track record of improving system uptime, safety, and energy efficiency.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
