  • Job Description: Analytical Compliance Admin
  • Position Summary
  • We are a regulated hemp processing laboratory seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Analytical Administrator to support our regulatory and quality operations. This role is responsible for preparing samples for third-party laboratory testing, ensuring testing meets state-specific compliance requirements, and reviewing analytical results to verify regulatory compliance.
  • This position operates in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment where accuracy, organization, and regulatory awareness are essential. The ideal candidate will develop expertise in hemp testing regulations and play a critical role in maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Preparation & Submission Coordination
  • Prepare hemp-derived product samples for submission to third-party testing laboratories.
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and chain-of-custody records are accurate and compliant.
  • Create and submit testing orders with third-party laboratories based on regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Ensure correct test panels are ordered based on product type and state-specific compliance requirements.

  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight
  • Learn and maintain current knowledge of hemp testing regulations across multiple states.
  • Ensure all testing meets applicable regulatory requirements, including potency, residual solvents, pesticides, heavy metals, microbial contaminants, and other required panels.
  • Verify that all compliance testing is completed prior to product release or distribution.
  • Maintain compliance tracking systems and ensure all required testing is completed accurately.

  • Third-Party Laboratory Coordination
  • Maintain professional working relationships with third-party testing laboratories.
  • Coordinate testing requirements, confirm testing scopes, and monitor test progress.
  • Communicate with laboratory partners regarding test orders, results, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to test results or testing requirements.

  • Results Review & Quality Control
  • Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and laboratory reports upon receipt.
  • Verify that analytical results meet state regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Identify out-of-specification or non-compliant results and escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate and organized compliance records for audit readiness.

  • Documentation & Compliance Support
  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Support internal compliance initiatives and regulatory inspections.
  • Assist with maintaining and improving compliance procedures and documentation systems.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Regulatory Affairs, or related scientific field preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (hemp, cannabis, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food industries preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn and interpret regulatory requirements.
  • Strong administrative and documentation management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with third-party analytical testing laboratories.
  • Knowledge of hemp compliance and testing regulations.
  • Familiarity with GMP or regulated laboratory environments.
  • Experience reviewing Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance programs.
