- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience as a Coating Operator or in a similar pharmaceutical manufacturing role is preferred.
- Familiarity with coating equipment such as [Insert equipment examples, e.g., Accela-Cota, Glatt, or Vector].
- Basic understanding of GMPs, SOPs, and FDA regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Basic math skills for measurements and record-keeping.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities of position

|
|
| The Coating Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining coating equipment used to apply protective or functional coatings to pharmaceutical tablets. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to strict quality and safety standards, and efficient coordination with the production team to meet manufacturing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation:
- Set up, operate, and monitor coating machines in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Adjust machine settings, including speed, temperature, spray rates, and airflow, to ensure optimal coating application.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
- Preparation and Production:
- Measure, mix, and prepare coating solutions based on precise formulations.
- Load and unload tablets from coating pans or automated systems.
- Perform in-process checks to verify coating quality, thickness, and appearance.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct visual and physical inspections of coated tablets to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and product specifications.
- Record production data accurately, including batch numbers, coating parameters, and quality inspection results.
- Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize coating equipment, tools, and work areas to prevent cross-contamination.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and document cleaning logs.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
