| We are looking to bring in a General Machine Operator to work with our Gerber cutter
Pay Rate: $21/HR
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Shift: Mon – Fri 6:30am – 3pm (Saturdays as needed)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as fabric, cutting tools and templates.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, depth and angle of cutting.
- Detects malfunctions and adjust controls as required.
- Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
- Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
- Confers with others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
- Perform periodic preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines to check for machine issues and to ensure good working order.
- Process paperwork to capture material data, items produced, items scraped and other record keeping.
