Requirements of position
|
|
|
|
|
- Valid driver’s license (CDL required if applicable based on vehicle weight).
- Minimum 1–2 years of commercial box truck driving experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Experience in a regulated environment (GMP, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food manufacturing) preferred.
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and shipping documentation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (especially in markets such as Florida).

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Safely operate a 24–26 ft box truck (or similar commercial vehicle) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Transport finished products, raw materials, and packaging materials between manufacturing sites, warehouses, suppliers, and customers.
- Verify bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping documentation prior to departure.
- Maintain truck cleanliness and sanitary conditions in accordance with GMP standards.
- Ensure products are protected from damage, contamination, temperature exposure, or tampering during transit.
- Obtain proof of delivery (POD) signatures and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Immediately report accidents, product damage, delays, or GMP deviations to management.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, temperature logs (if applicable), and transportation records.
GMP Compliance Responsibilities
- Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to transportation and handling of regulated products.
- Maintain proper personal hygiene when entering GMP-controlled facilities.
- Ensure no food, beverages, or prohibited items are present in designated areas.
- Report any contamination risks, product integrity concerns, or documentation discrepancies.
- Ensure full traceability and secure chain of custody of all transported materials.
