A Production Lead in Blending supervises manufacturing employees, overseeing blending, coating, and tablet operations to ensure compliance with cGMP and SOPs. This role involves reviewing batch records, training operators, managing production flow, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities & Duties - Supervision & Leadership: Manages manufacturing staff, plans work assignments, and ensures daily production targets are met.
- Process Oversight: Supervises the blending, coating, tablet, bulk, and pharmacy manufacturing operations.
- Documentation & Compliance: Reviews manufacturing batch records, writes SOPs, investigates discrepancies, and enforces Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Quality & Safety: Performs quality checks, ensures accurate documentation, and maintains a safe, clean working environment.
- Training & Workflow: Trains operators in all phases of the processes and acts as a liaison between production and support groups.
Qualifications - Previous experience in manufacturing or a leadership role, preferably in a pharmaceutical or similar GMP environment.
- Strong knowledge of blending processes, safety standards, and documentation.
- Ability to read/write technical documents (SOPs, batch records) and operate or oversee machinery.
- High school degree or GED required.
Physical Requirements - Frequently standing, bending, and lifting.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and handling of raw materials.
