Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Shift:
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Must be available to work 6-7 days per week during peak production.
Job Description:
We are currently hiring experienced Machine Operators for a food production facility. This position operates packaging equipment used to package fresh leafy greens in a refrigerated production environment. If you have previous machine operating experience, are dependable, and can work in a cold environment, we encourage you to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate packaging and production machines safely and efficiently
- Set up and adjust machines for different products as needed
- Monitor equipment during production and make minor adjustments
- Perform basic troubleshooting when issues arise
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Verify labels and packaging information for accuracy
- Keep the work area clean and follow food safety procedures
- Report equipment or quality issues to supervisors
- Work with the production team to meet daily production goals
Requirements:
- Previous machine operator experience is required
- Experience in food production or manufacturing is preferred
- Must be comfortable working in a cold production environment (32°F-40°F)
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
- Bilingual candidates who speak English and Spanish or English and Haitian Creole are strongly encouraged to apply
Work Environment:
- Cold production environment (32°F-40°F) throughout the shift (not freezer or cold storage)
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- PPE is required, including smock, gloves, hair/beard net, and protective sleeves
- Fast-paced food production facility with strict safety and quality standards
