| We are seeking an experienced Bag Machine Operator to operate and maintain bag-making equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with square-bottom bags and zipper applications, ensuring high-quality production, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor bag-making machines to produce finished bags according to specifications
- Run machines producing square-bottom bags and bags with zipper closures
- Perform machine adjustments, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency
- Monitor production output and minimize waste
- Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
- Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating industrial bag-making machinery
- Proven experience with square-bottom bag production
- Proven experience installing and running zipper applications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read job tickets, specifications, and measurements
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift required materials as needed
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in flexible packaging or plastic bag manufacturing
- Prior experience with high-speed production environments
- Basic maintenance or technical training
