Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Set-Up Mechanic to support production operations by setting up, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining packaging and filling equipment. This role is critical to ensuring efficient production, minimizing downtime, and maintaining quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Equipment Setup & Changeovers
- Perform machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers for production runs.
- Prepare equipment for production while minimizing downtime.
- Test and fine-tune machinery to ensure proper operation.
- Clean and sanitize production equipment according to procedures.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment issues.
- Replace defective components and perform equipment repairs.
- Respond quickly to production issues to keep operations running efficiently.
Preventive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled maintenance on production equipment.
- Inspect machinery and components for wear and needed repairs.
- Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
- Lubricate and service equipment as required.
Team Support & Compliance
- Assist with new product trials and equipment installations.
- Train and support other maintenance personnel as needed.
- Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Set-Up Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, or Electro-Mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with filling, packaging, labeling, capping, conveyor, and automated production equipment.
- Basic knowledge of PLC controls, pneumatic systems, pumps, and compressed air systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
