Requirements of position
|
|
|
|
|
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting; experience in the logistics or transportation industry preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with freight billing, fuel surcharges, or drayage charges is a plus.

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Generate and send invoices to customers; follow up on outstanding balances.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger entries.
- Maintain records of daily financial transactions and ensure all documents are filed correctly.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reporting.
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure accurate billing and cost allocation.
- Monitor and report on billing discrepancies, chargebacks, or freight variances.
- Use ERP/accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) to input and retrieve data.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
