Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a direct hire opportunity. This role supports manufacturing operations by providing troubleshooting, maintenance, programming, and technical support to production equipment and processing departments. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and automation experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to manufacturing production lines
- Troubleshoot equipment, automation systems, and process issues
- Perform maintenance, repairs, installation, and testing of manufacturing equipment
- Support and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems to maintain production uptime
- Troubleshoot and reteach robotic material handling and weld cell systems
- Make basic logic changes using maintenance and controls software
- Diagnose and resolve industrial network communication issues
- Create and update electrical drawings, schematics, and process documentation
- Order and manage spare components as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and mechanical repairs
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree, diploma, certificate, or trade qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Experience troubleshooting industrial automation and manufacturing equipment
- Working knowledge of PLC/HMI systems and industrial controls
- Familiarity with industrial networks including DeviceNet and Ethernet/IP
- Understanding of machine safety circuits and applications
- Experience with VFD, DC, and Servo drive systems
- Knowledge of vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, Omron) preferred
- Robotics experience (ABB, Motoman) is an asset
- Understanding of barcode scanners, RFID systems, and data tracking
- Ability to read technical documents, electrical schematics, and drawings
- Knowledge of welding processes and panel building is preferred
