Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits:
Hourly rate is based on the one-way distance from your home office to the assigned job site, calculated using the shortest available route in Google Maps.
0–49 miles: $20.00/hour
50–79 miles: $21.00/hour
80–99 miles: $22.00/hour
100+ miles: $27.00/hour
Job Description:What the Job Looks Like
Schedules are shared daily through our dispatch app (Assignar), by 7:00 PM each night.
Shifts typically range from 4 to 14 hours, depending on weather and project needs. (Not including travel time)
Work sites change daily. Statewide travel is required.
Overtime opportunities are available.
Because of the nature of roadwork, scheduled breaks aren’t always guaranteed—but we do our best to make sure you get rest when site conditions allow.
What You’ll Need
Valid driver’s license
Reliable personal vehicle (must remain on-site during your shift)
Proof of auto insurance (in your name/listed as an insured driver)
Availability for full days (sunrise to sunset), including weekends.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
No OWI/DUI within the past 5 years
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Willingness to travel up to 100+ miles one way.
No experience? No problem. We provide training and safety equipment.
As a flagger, you’re an important part of keeping both workers and drivers safe. Your responsibilities include:
Controlling traffic through construction zones
Guiding drivers safely around work areas
Using signs, paddles, radios, and hand signals
Communicating with your team to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
PPE Provided by JobSquad:
Safety vest (MDOT Class 3)
Safety glasses (clear & tinted)
Hard hat
Sign & Poles
Headlamp
2-way radio (you provide batteries)
Poncho
You’ll need to bring:
T-shirt or long-sleeve shirt (no tank tops)

Durable jeans or work pants (no shorts or sweatpants)
