Job Location: Eaton Rapids, MI
Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $20-$23/hr
First Shift: 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday
Job Description: This role supports daily warehouse and production operations by managing incoming and outgoing materials, operating forklifts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Key responsibilities include picking, packing, and pulling orders; creating certificates and Bills of Lading (BOLs); coordinating and scheduling freight pickups and deliveries; organizing inventory; and performing regular cycle counts.
Responsibilities:
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests, invoices, and orders to ensure accuracy.
- Record shipment details such as weights, damages, and discrepancies for inventory and reporting purposes.
- Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, work orders, and shipping orders.
- Safely operate forklifts or other lifting equipment to load, unload, move, and stack materials.
- Transport materials between receiving, storage, and production areas.
- Load and unload materials manually or with equipment from pallets, skids, trucks, or other transport vehicles.
- Inspect and secure loads to ensure safe handling and accurate delivery within the facility.
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance such as cleaning, fueling, or charging batteries.
- Pull materials for production, return unused materials to inventory, and keep storage areas organized.
- Complete cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Support production and other departments as directed by the Manufacturing Manager.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
- Forklift experience required: Must have the ability to drive a forklift safely and accurately
- Experience picking and pulling orders (1-2 years minimum)
- Knowledge of computer programs as well as scanning inventory (SAP System)
- Must be dependable, responsible, able to work independently as well as take direction from Team Lead/Supervisor
- Work safely and follow all plant safety rules and PPE requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings.
