| Requirements of position

| Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sanitation management within a food
processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, and sanitation best practices.
• Experience leading a team and training employees in sanitation, safety procedures, and safe chemical handling.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sanitation management software.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience.
Prior Supervisory experience is needed which includes strong leadership skills.
Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, SSOP’s, OSHA, PPEs, and GMP’s is desired.
Computer Skills
Other Skills and Abilities:
Multi-language is a plus.
Physical Demands:
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to both cold temperatures in the plant and potentially the freezer, while also be exposed to warm and wet conditions which typically occur during the sanitation process. The employee may be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

| Responsibilities of position
|
|||||
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation policies and procedures in accordance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, HACCP, the plants SSOP program and other regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate the sanitation team, ensuring proper cleaning
protocols and safety procedures are followed.
• Manage and maintain sanitation schedules to ensure equipment, production areas, and facilities meet cleanliness standards as described in the plant and company SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures.)
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and resolve sanitation issues and/sanitation improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs), SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures.)
• Coordinate with production and quality assurance teams to maintain hygiene and sanitation requirements without disrupting operations.
• Oversee the safe handling and proper use of cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment, through ensuring proper chemical training is conducted and the necessary PPEs for sanitation employees are worn.
• Investigate sanitation-related concerns and implement CAPA (corrective actions and preventive actions) and any improvements that may be identified.
• Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, audits, and compliance reports, such as but limited to the head sanitation scheduled, pre-operations reports, etc..
• Stay up to date with industry regulations and advancements in sanitation technology and chemical effectiveness, to continuously improve sanitation processes.
