We are seeking a Mechanical Installer – Painter to perform paint repairs and support mechanical installations in a manufacturing environment. The role involves preparing, painting, and finishing components, as well as assisting with mechanical assembly as needed. Work must follow safety and quality standards. This is a 1st shift role with a starting payrate of $21/hr. Key ResponsibilitiesPaint Repair: - Perform paint repairs using spray guns, sanding, priming, masking, and paint blending to achieve OEM-quality finishes
- Perform diverse repair techniques including buffing, brush touch-ups, gel coat/fiberglass repairs, and powder coat finishes
- Maintain paint equipment and safely store materials
- Inspect work for quality and correct any defects
Mechanical Assembly: - Read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions
- Install mechanical components according to specifications
- Complete required inspection and documentation
- Assist with training new employees as needed
Safety & Compliance: - Follow OSHA standards, SOPs, SWMS, and PPE requirements
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
- Identify and report hazards or safety issues
Must Have Skills & Experience - 3+ years hands-on paint repair experience, including spray gun application, surface prep, and paint blending
- Ability to perform diverse paint repair techniques (buffing, sanding, touch-ups, gel coat/fiberglass, powder coat)
- Basic mechanical assembly skills and ability to read engineering drawings
- Experience working in a safety-regulated environment and following OSHA standards
